At Footloose we pride ourself on the personal service we offer – a service backed up by many years in the travel business, by the very wide experience of our staff, and by our commitment to make every trip we organise the very best for you.

Roger Gook has spent a lifetime traveling to remote parts of the world. He has organised and led adventure treks in the Himalayas, climbing in the Andes, safaris in East Africa, desert travel with the Bedouin in Egypt, jungle trips in the Amazon and many other countries. Roger used this experience to set up and run a major trekking company for six years. Since then he has enjoyed the challenge and excitement of developing a small and flexible company – Footloose.

Janet McDougall's career in business was becoming severely disrupted by trips to interesting parts of the world. After a couple of trips with Footloose, she took the sensible step of joining us. Her travels have taken her through the USA and Australia, overlanding through Africa, trekking in Nepal and Europe, and most recently to Kenya, Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Sweden and Iceland. At the moment she is enjoying high mountains, with five ascents of Kilimanjaro and just returned from Acongagua.

Susanne Muskita recently joined the Footloose team after many years with Explore Worldwide. Born in Holland and of Moluccan origin, she is fluent in several languages. After her journalism study, she travelled the world extensively, before starting her job as a tour leader. She has led tours as diverse as tiger safaris in India, hiking in Alaska, cultural tours in Syria and Jordan and has climbed Kilimanjaro several times.

David Else is an associate of the company and is well known for the series of African guides he has written for Lonely Planet and Bradt.

When you phone or visit Footloose, you will usually speak to Janet, Susanne or Roger. Other staff include Caroline, Lesley, Anne-Marie and Pauline who will also help you at all times.
